It takes us on a journey through time from the Picts right up to the challenges of modern day, to discover how hardship and changing fortunes have helped shape this remarkable and unique community. With fascinating stories from the villagers themselves, told with their customary warmth and humour. Showcasing some of Scotland's most breath-taking scenery and iconic wildlife, the soundtrack includes stirring music from Scottish composer David Chappell. This multi award winning documentary was directed, written and narrated by Caroline Strong (Prime Suspect, Island at War, Emmerdale) and filmed and edited by Danny Strong (AKA Bean - BWPA Highly Commended Filmmaker) & Dr Gabriel Strong (AKA Bean - BBC Forces of Nature).
Distribution is by 7Palms Entertainment (USA) and the disc includes two bonus BWPA, Highly Commended Wildlife shorts by Danny Strong (AKA Danny Bean) 'Morning of the Moorland Matadors' is an amusing observation of a Black Grouse lek and 'No Room at the Top' is a moving short about the pressures on Mountain Hare and Ptarmigan due to changing climate and modern land management.
There is zero plastic in our DVD packaging and the pretty 'picture' disc DVDs come with a protective, white cardboard envelope. Standard definition.
